Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Not your average CPR class

At Northeast Emergency Training Solutions, we offer two ways to either obtain or recertify your Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

In-Person Course – This instructor led course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and requires adequate space for training to take place, dependent on the overall size of the class. Upon successful completion, students will receive a two-year certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. The in-person course has a minimum billing requirement of 10 students.

Hybrid Course – This blended learning course consists of two components, which upon successful completion, will result in a two-year certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. This option is ideal for those who find it difficult to commit to the 3-hour time requirement of the in-person course offering, or for smaller groups who do not meet the minimum class size requirement. The first component consists of an online educational course which can be completed at the student’s own pace and convivence. Following completion of the online learning component, students will then be scheduled for an in-person skill verification session, which takes approximately 1 hour.

Basic Life Support (In-Person) – $65 per student w/ a 10-student minimum billing requirement.

Basic Life Support (Hybrid Course) – $85 per student.
